The ideal candidate will be qualified in Electronic engineering (or related discipline), have in-depth experience in a Power Conversion product design environment and a proven track record in power systems development. Knowledge of designing power conversion products and systems in Defense product environments would be an advantage, with knowledge of design life cycles of products outside the power domain.
The role will require the following Technical Competencies:
1. Large system (.>50kW) power architecture conceptual definition from source to point of use.
2. Hierarchical development of power elements, apportioning of system budgets and related requirements definition.
3. Modeling and simulation of power systems Matlab/Simulink, Mathcad.
4. Application of mathematical modeling, computer based analysis to steady state and transient complex power algorithms.
